Arm knitting is a way to create large textiles, using your arms instead of knitting needles. Hands are more dexterous than any craft needle - you’ll be surprised to find how easily you can make a scarf, or even a blanket, in a short amount of time! As a practiced arm knitter I can make a queen-sized bed blanket in about two hours.
After just one lesson you'll be able to make gorgeous shawls, scarves, wall hangings and more for you and your friends. You can use bulky yarn, ribbon, rope, or any other type of material you'd like to try. This is an online lesson where we each provide our own materials.
No prior experience is necessary. Even if you don't consider yourself "crafty" you can learn this technique!
I have taught many people from various backgrounds and skillsets, and in just an hour everyone gets the basics. In this one-on-one session I will show you how to prepare your yarn, cast on, knit, cast off, and fix common mistakes. For experienced crafters, we can also talk about shaping and scale.
